5 pictures and the stories behind them

Here are the 5 latest pictures on my phone:

Every other Wednesday at work starts in the Brehm tower at 9AM. It is closer to town than north campus, where I work daily, and on those days I often walk through downtown Ann Arbor to get the brown sugar sea salt latte at Mighty Good Coffee (the best coffee in town in my opinion). This Wednesday I passed the former peaceable kingdom store. It was full of gadgets and stuff made from local artists but had to close this summer. Apparently the fairies went out of business too💔

An early Thursday morning detour while walking Luca to the school bus (had to deposit a poop bag in a trash container........). I spotted the icicles hanging from the tree and wanted to take a picture. They don’t show well, but at least the sun did.

These are my favorites right now. We get them in Aldi and since I worked late Thursday I wanted to make sure Kristian got the right ones. Well, he didn’t make it there Thursday night and instead I had to bring Luca and his play date Otto to Aldi right after school Friday. Where we got our weeks worth of groceries in exactly 22 minutes and 36 seconds (according to Otto timing me, because he didn’t believe I could be in and out in less than 30 minutes).

Teresa had a late swim meet Wednesday night. And she didn’t get home until 11:30PM, where she still needed to wash the gelatin out of her hair before she could go to bed. So I left a little couch potato setup for her for when she got home from school the following day.

Ulrik brought this figurine home from ceramics yesterday. The picture doesn’t do it full justice but this figurine makes me so happy. To me it represents that Ulrik is doing the right thing for him by applying to art and design school. And after an additional visit to STAMPS school of art and design here in town he has made up his mind and will be going to University of Michigan. Among other things they had a clay 3D printer and he can’t wait to get his hands on it.
