On a positive note is that our living room no longer looks like this:
I have finally had a chance to bring all my offspring to A La Mousse in Philly. Huge success! Just as I hoped for:
We have been to Scandinavian festival in New Jersey where we met our true kin
And we have waved goodbye to Kristian and Ulrik who went back to Michigan 1 1/2 weeks ago. Ulrik to be back at college and Kristian to get back to his job in Detroit for the time being. Which has left me her with the 2 youngest 🐶. I can confess that no one slept particularly well the first night before school, but with a little over a week in, things are going OK. Luca has found a friend - “opposite Luca” who is short, sturdy, tan, and has dark hair. And who apparently lives in the same neighborhood as us. Almost too good to be true. Teresa has started cross country running and (after a few visits to the counselors office) she has gotten a schedule she is quite happy with - including “forensic science” (guess who is more excited about this class then her. Ahem).
We have to get up EARLY every morning because of the school bus schedule:
But this means that I can get up, make sure kiddos are up, take Luca to the school bus, walk the dog, AND still be at work before 8. Even with half an hours drive to get there. Then when I get home I get to walk Bailey again because this sort of happens every single time the kids try to take him out when I am not there:
He rolls in the grass. Rolls some more. Walks 3 steps and then refuses to do anything other than going back home! Stupid animal! But when I get home he behaves like no one bothered to take him out ALL afternoon. Duh.
Last but not least: one of the things I have been looking forward to is more space for succulents. And check out the surprise that waited for me this evening! I have never ever seen anything quite like it😍
